Ze begreep het niet. Ze hadden toch duidelijk afgesproken. Om 17.00 bij de Bruna in het winkelcentrum. Dan zouden ze samen wat gaan drinken. Hij wist wel een leuke kroeg, had hij gezegd. Het was nu half zes en boos fietste ze naar huis. Hij was nergens te bekennen geweest. Haar moeder zou wel opkijken. Ze had gezegd dat ze niet thuis kwam eten, dus haar moeder zou ook wel niets voor haar klaargemaakt hebben. Ze fietste langzaam om het vervelende moment van de te vroege thuiskomst uit te stellen.
